This policy explains what information NetWorthNowCalc ("we", "us") handles when you visit the site. NetWorthNowCalc is operated by Numerlyn LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, which is the business responsible for this site. We have tried to write it in plain language.
When you fill in the calculator fields (cash, retirement accounts, home value, loan balances, and so on) and press the button, the arithmetic is done by JavaScript running on your own device. The values are not placed in the page address, are not transmitted to our servers by the calculator, and are not saved in cookies or local storage. When you close or refresh the page they disappear. Your browser, a browser extension, or your device's autofill feature may remember form entries on your device; that is controlled by your own settings and is outside our control.
Our pages are served through Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). When your browser requests a page, the hosting and network infrastructure necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, browser and device type, and referring page. This data is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, prevent abuse, and measure basic performance. We do not use it to identify you personally. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy.
We intend to use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, for example how many people read a guide and from which country. When enabled, Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. It does not receive the figures you type into the calculator. Google acts as a service provider and processes this data under its own terms. You can opt out by using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by enabling a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal in a browser that supports it.
We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, including personalized ads based on your earlier visits to this or other websites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ad performance. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, manage ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com, or opt out of personalized advertising through aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com. If other ad networks are used in the future, we will name them here.
The calculator itself does not set cookies. Cookies may be set by the services described in sections 4 and 5 once they are enabled. You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings, though some features of third-party services may then not work.
If you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of the request, and we keep it for as long as needed for that purpose and to meet legal obligations. Please do not include sensitive financial details in messages.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with data brokers. We share data only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, analytics, and advertising services described above), when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of users. Because advertising technology can involve sharing of identifiers for ad purposes, some US state laws describe that as a "sale" or "sharing" of data. If ads are enabled, you can opt out using the links in section 5 and by sending us a request at the contact address below.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under local privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information a business holds about you, to request that it be deleted or corrected, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We honor these requests for any visitor, whether or not a law requires it. Because we do not collect names or accounts, we may need to ask for details to find the data connected to you, and in many cases we hold none. The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We rely on our hosting provider's security measures and do not operate databases of personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Our service providers, such as Cloudflare and Google, may process data in the United States and other countries.
When we change this policy, for example because we turn on analytics or advertising, we will update the date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
